„Nechtěná“ single out now!

„Nechtěná“, in English „Unwanted“, single represents a link between Czech presence and English past of SEBASTIEN. Originally under the name of “Fight For Love”, the song received international treatment with the voice of BEAST IN BLACK, Yannis Papadopoulos. Now, band leader George Rain explains its new incarnation.

The only song from the bygone time we reworked for the new album “Integrity” is “Nechtěná”, originally “Fight For Love”. It all began with “Nechtěná”, it was this song when we got the idea to sing in our mother tongue. I sung the demo in Czech which came out as a pleasant surprise to me. The outcome was rather natural! I have thought my melody lines won’t come out as desired in Czech, yet I was proven wrong. The lyrics are strong and I am exhilarated by our cooperation with Veronika Kašáková, a founder of child’s help charity. Together we try to bring more attention to the topic of “unwanted” children from children’s homes.

Yet, „Nechtěná“ offers even more lyrically, as the lyrics author katon explains.

The lyrics can easily be interpreted as a story of all women who experienced heavy disappointment in love or life showed them its unjust side and they were left stranded and up to their fate. The true meaning of the words is rather universal. Today’s materialistic age twists and crushes human soul with a flood of needless things and the soul lacks the time to grow. Its fall into the abyss is however stalled by a force of universe, vastly overreaching petty mundane vanities.

There is a videoclip for the song in the making, which will further expand on the message of the song. “Nechtěná” is a third single from the upcoming album “Integrity” which is coming out on December 11, 2020. The album can pre-ordered in the shop section.
